Hello Egypt | Land of the Pharaohs

Hello Egypt | Land of the Pharaohs

You've just graduated from uni, the first thing on your mind would be go and find a job right? Wrong. Instead book impulse flights with your friends out to Egypt and worry about your career when you come back two weeks later.

I'm lucky to enough to have a friend from uni who's family live in Hurghada, Egypt. Two days after our final degree show we were baking ourselves in 40 degree sun for a much needed tan, perfect for someone who's allergic to the sun! There wasn't a single plan for the next two weeks, we were just going fry on our pink lilo's and see where we ended up.

Mahmya Island

If you ever find yourself in Hurghada this is a must see. An exclusive beach just 45 minutes by boat you'd honestly just think you've stepped straight onto a Caribbean island. Don't worry I'm cringing at the cliche's before I've even written this but there's really no way around them, the glowing white sand and crystal clear waters are a dream, it was like a little corner of heaven.

We spent the day lounging on bean bags, jumping into the sea and trying to hide so we didn't have to go back (clearly we weren't successful). It's the perfect place for snorkelling and we were even followed by a couple of dolphins on the boat back.

Robinson's Soma Bay

Who'd have thought a week just floating on a lilo could actually get a little boring? We had another week to go so we decided to drive down to a hotel an hour away for two days to get a change of scenery. There was endless amount to do including, water sports and snorkelling but obviously I spent most of my time at the pool lounging/napping on the massive beds by the pool.

Hurghada

Some proof that the pink lilo's really did exist and were our bestfriends, they should really be sold as tanning beds.
