The one thing I was dying to do on this trip was to explore some of the beautiful islands Dubrovnik has to offer. The images I'd seen posted all over Instagram this year have had me obsessed and counting down the days, Dubrovnik did not disappoint.
A five minute walk along the seafront of our hotel. Filled with hidden paths, and steep steps to rocks in the sea it was the perfect place to hide away and appreciate the natural beauty both day and night. Especially for anyone trying to escape the hoards of summer tourists (I'm really just describing my antisocial self).
The Elaphite Islands (in Greek meaning the Deer Islands):
Lopud, Šipan & Koločep
These islands oozed a beautiful Mediterranean style, many with remnants of old architecture and botanic gardens to explore. This is definitely a trip to take, spending the whole day cruising throughout the three islands, another exciting aspect Dubrovnik has to offer!
